We have the opportunity to teach our children to go out into their world with a belief in themselves.

Why do young children have so much confidence and adults so little? What would life be like for us if we had more of that fearlessness?

Your children may know some of these forms of dishonesty. Allow them to tell you what they know then pick up where they might not be sure.

Honesty is always the best policy. Living honestly – all the time – is always a better way to live!

Even though we know honesty is always the best policy, we observe this all-encompassing rule being broken all the time.

Role playing always works great with the virtue of responsibility. Most children love role playing, especially with their parents!

Being responsible takes effort. It takes commitment and practice, but it all pays off in the end.

The more we get into the practice of making responsible decisions, the more we will automatically act responsibly.

Like all virtues, respect takes practice and commitment. We need to think about how much respect we give to others in our life.

Respect is often something we expect, but may not always give. Sometimes it is said that “respect needs to be earned.” Is that true?

The positive side of acceptance can have the power to change the trajectory of what has come to be seen as the norm.

As we have done with many of the virtues so far, we need to take the time to self-examine how well we live out the virtue of acceptance.

Children are much more accepting of others than adults. Too often, though, our adult biases influence children as they grow up . . .

As we said previously, loving is a better way to live. As parents, we want nothing more for our kids than for them to grow up to be loving..

Our reluctance to love doesn’t take anything away from its power, its strength, or its ability. Love is the great equalizer . . .
