Welcome to a New School Year!
Hello! We're back with another school year upon us! This September begins Book 2 in The Good Eggs series, The Good Eggs Travel the World. Last year, the Eggs learned all about virtues. This year, we will follow the adventures of the Eggs as they travel around the world to learn about diversity and to try and put their virtues into practice!
Travel Abroad
In The Good Eggs Travel the World, the four original Good Eggs, Seggourney, Reggie, Megg, and Greggory, learn that they have been awarded an opportunity by the United Nations to study abroad for ten months visiting ten different countries. As part of this study abroad program, Ms. Poach will be teaching morning lessons so the Eggs remain current with their classwork. Coach Flo and the Eggs’ parents will also be joining them on this exciting journey.
Embrace Diversity!
The embracing of diversity is more important than ever. The “neighborhood” of our children has truly been globalized. Our entire world is networked! Any and all information we have or want to know about can be found on a device so small it can fit in our pocket!
The neighborhoods most of us live in and the schools most of our children attend are multi-cultural, multi-racial, and multi-ethnic. Our local world has become a wonderful patchwork of cultures, races, and ethnicities. We live in an amazing and beautiful world, peppered with the richness of diversity!
This first month of September will follow the Eggs preparation as they learn about the first country they will visit in October.
