The day-cruise vessel slowly made its way down the Nile River. Sami’s father was right – the scenery was breathtaking.

As we saw last week, Benedict had trouble sleeping the night before they were to see the pyramids.

The Eggs’ plane was late due to a sandstorm at the Cairo airport. Shelly’s friend, Sami, and his father, waited patiently for their friends.

The next week, Coach Flo arranged for the group to attend a cricket match. “What’s that?” asked the Eggs.

As the bus pulled in to the site, the Eggs sat in silence, overwhelmed with the magnificence of the structure.

“Namaste!” Benedict was curious as to what she meant, so Rashi walked over to Benedict, put his palms together, had him bow slightly.

As the Eggs wrapped up their visit to Japan, they were treated to a very special afternoon – a Japanese Tea Ceremony!

Takumi and Ojii-san surprised the Eggs with magnificent kites! “C’mon,” said Takumi. “It’s our tradition to fly kites at the New Year!"

Shelly met her friend, Takumi, and his grandfather, who introduced themselves to the Eggs. “Konichiwa,” Takumi said as they both bowed.

The plane landed and the Eggs boarded jeeps which took them to Uluru. As the jeeps approached the monolith, the Eggs were silent.

Later in the week, Lishy took the Eggs to visit some koalas at the local zoo. She explained that they were marsupials and not really bears.

After getting settled in Cairns, Shelly informed the group they would be taking a glass-bottom boat over the Great Barrier Reef.

“Look! Over there!” Paison quietly whispered to the Eggs as he pointed to the elephant.

The Eggs gathered bamboo, leaves, and different grasses and watched as Paison and his family showed them how to weave the materials together

They flew into the capital city of Lusaka and met a new friend named Paison. He was a friend of their tour guide, Shelly.
