The Foundation
The Good Eggs Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to serving the community and to giving children in need support as they grow into independent, strong, and confident individuals, offering educational resources and basic needs.
When children are given a chance to break the cycle of poverty, we give them not only what they need at the moment, but we help them get the childhood and future they deserve.
As a society, it is critical to give our children opportunities to grow into independent, strong and confident individuals. In communities struggling to meet basic needs of food and housing, this can be a challenge for parents. Starting in the Greater Detroit area, The Good Eggs Foundation is committed to helping under-resourced parents support their children. We do this by providing the opportunity and space for children to read at home, build their self-confidence, and develop strong character. We also partner with individuals, foundations, local businesses, and corporate donors who help sponsor Reading Nests.
We hope you will consider supporting The Good Eggs Foundation in one of three ways:
1) Purchase/Donate a "Signature Egging" Reading Nest and Books (consisting of a bean bag chair, a set of The Good Eggs books, an egg-shaped stress release squishy, and an SEL tip card), or a traditional "Egging," which is a specific need earmarked by a community organization (see below).
2) Purchase The Good Eggs Book Series on Amazon and share a review (give as gifts to your children, grandchildren, or relatives). You may also purchase author-signed copies here on our website. Net proceeds go to the Foundation.
3) Share our story (including our Podcast, Parent Blog, or Michigan PBS Series) on social media.
